Be Grateful NOW!!!

Be Grateful NOW!!!

Grateful for the Present Moment

It’s so easy to look ahead, always focusing on the next thing we want or need. We desire more, not realizing that the moment we are in is a moment we once prayed for. God is calling His children to be grateful for what they now possess. We are so blessed, despite what we may think we lack.

God has shown many of us our promises, but we become so focused on reaching the next milestone that we neglect the beauty of our present moment. You may have been praying for a bigger house, but right now, you have a loving family to fill the space you currently have, and in that, you are blessed beyond measure.

Matthew 6:8 reminds us, “Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” God is aware of our desires and our needs even before we bring them to Him in prayer. He asks us to trust His process. He will supply all of our needs because we are His children, and our Father will provide.

As we wait for the future promises, let’s remember to declare God’s favor over our lives right now. Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is “able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.” Trust that He is working everything out for your good, and it is greater than what you could ever imagine.

In the waiting, God also calls us to be good stewards of what we already have. Luke 16:10 says, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.” This means being faithful with the resources, relationships, and opportunities in our hands today. When we honor God with what we have, He will open the door for more.

Proverbs 3:9-10 reminds us to, "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine." Your future abundance is tied to your present faithfulness.

God’s favor is going to open doors ahead of you, but not by your own will or striving. As you sit in the abundance of today, relax and trust that God’s favor is working in your life. You are living in the fulfillment of past prayers right now—don’t overlook that. Enjoy and be thankful.

Reflective Journal Prompt: Take a moment to think about something you have today that you once prayed for. How can you express gratitude for this blessing in your life? Write a prayer of thanksgiving for the present blessings in your life, acknowledging that God is working even when the bigger promises haven’t yet come to pass. What would it look like for you to enjoy and steward what you have now while trusting God for the future?
