Purpose in the Pain
Scripture for Reflection:
📖 Genesis 50:20 – "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."
Devotional Thought:
Pain is never easy. Disappointments cut deep, and rejection can feel unbearable. But have you ever considered that your pain is not wasted? What if God is using your struggles as a setup for something greater? Just like Joseph, who was betrayed by his brothers and thrown into prison, God was working behind the scenes the entire time. The very pain that seemed like a setback was actually positioning him for a divine assignment.
Maybe you feel like you’ve been forgotten or stuck in a place you never expected to be. But God never abandons His children. He is working through your pain, shaping your character, and preparing you for the next season. Your pain has a purpose!
Reflection Questions:
1️⃣ Can you recall a painful experience where God later revealed a greater purpose?
2️⃣ How can you shift your perspective to see your trials as preparation rather than punishment?
3️⃣ What step of faith can you take today to trust that God is working all things for your good?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for turning my pain into purpose. Help me to trust You even when I don’t understand. Give me the strength to endure, knowing that You are working all things for my good. Let my story be a testimony of Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
