The Next Three Months

Focus on Your Three Homes

As we step into the final months of 2024—October, November, and December—God has directed my focus for ARISE toward a critical shift. Did you know that October 4th marked the start of the Hebrew New Year? In the days leading up to that date, God began revealing a new focus for this ministry: a deeper concentration on the home, not just in the physical sense, but in all aspects of our lives. Over the next three months, we will be focusing on what I call "our three homes."

God, in His grace and wisdom, wants us to prepare for the future by building strong foundations now. Let's explore these three homes and what God is asking of us during this important time.

Home #1: You – Your Soul, Mind, Body, and Spirit

The first home is you. Your personal walk with God is where it all begins. Just like how, on an airplane, you're instructed to put on your oxygen mask before helping others, it’s essential to care for your soul, mind, body, and spirit before you can effectively help anyone else. God needs you to be in right standing with Him, receiving what you need to stay strong in your relationship with Him and yourself.

This is about more than just spiritual maintenance—it’s also about physical health, mental well-being, and emotional balance. Take time to nourish your spirit through prayer, Bible study, and quiet reflection, but also tend to your body and mind. God desires for you to be whole so that you can be a vessel for His plans.

Home #2: Your Physical Household

Your second home is the one you live in— your household. Recently, God has been highlighting that events are coming to this world that will require us, His children, to prepare. Like the meteorologist warning about hurricane season, God is telling us to plan ahead to avoid panic when the storm arrives.

Preparation leads to peace, and God is giving us the time to get our homes in order. But here’s the key—God doesn’t want me to tell you exactly what to do. Instead, He wants you to seek Him for specific instructions for your household. Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.”

This season is about hearing God for yourself. There may come a time when the resources you usually rely on won't be available, and it will be crucial to know how to listen to God directly. He has personalized guidance for each of our homes, and now is the time to seek Him for it.

Home #3: What You Steward Over

The third home is everything God has entrusted to you—whether it’s your children, your spouse, your family members, or your resources. The Bible teaches that we are stewards over what God has given us, whether that’s our relationships or our roles in ministry, business, or community.

In Joshua 24:15, we read the famous declaration, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” In the times to come, it is not enough to simply be a praying parent or spouse. God is calling us to be intentional about leading our families in worship, devotion, and obedience to Him. We must invite God’s presence into our homes, not just through prayer but through actions.

Something as simple as setting aside 15 minutes each day to read a Bible passage with your family, discuss it, and pray together can make all the difference. It’s about building relationship, both with God and with each other. Proverbs 22:6 tells us, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” The legacy you build in your family now will carry forward for generations to come.

Generational Leadership

The next three months at ARISE will be about cultivating these three homes. You are a leader in your own life, in your household, and in all you steward. Generations are depending on the choices we make now. Will we lead them toward God or allow the winds of the coming storm to shake our foundations?

God is calling us to prepare, to be intentional, and to ensure that our homes are rooted in Him. Through this focus, He will guide us, equip us, and give us the wisdom we need for the days ahead.

Let’s embrace this season of preparation, trusting that God is with us and will provide everything we need as we build strong homes for His glory.
