ESTHER CHAPTER 6 – Study Along

THE DIVINE REVERSAL: WHEN GOD REMEMBERS YOUR NAME

Scripture Focus

Esther 6:10–11 (CSB)
“The king told Haman, ‘Hurry, and take the garment and the horse as you have said, and do so for Mordecai the Jew who is sitting at the King’s Gate. Do not leave out anything you have suggested.’ So Haman took the garment and the horse. He clothed Mordecai and paraded him through the city square, crying out before him, ‘This is what is done for the man the king wants to honor!’”

Study Summary

Esther Chapter 6 is the turning point of the entire story. The tables begin to turn.

That night, the king couldn’t sleep. While the palace is silent, Heaven is moving. The king orders the book of records to be read, and for the first time, he hears about Mordecai’s act of loyalty — the time Mordecai exposed a plot to assassinate him. The king realizes nothing had ever been done to reward him.

At that exact moment, Haman walks in — ready to request Mordecai’s execution. But before he can speak, the king asks him, “What should be done for the man the king delights to honor?” Thinking the king means him, Haman describes an extravagant celebration. To his humiliation, the king orders him to do it all for Mordecai!

This chapter is proof that God’s timing is flawless. Just when the enemy is plotting your downfall, Heaven is planning your public honor.

Study Reflection: God Never Forgets

There are seasons when it feels like your obedience went unnoticed — like no one saw your faithfulness, your quiet service, or your sacrifices. But God keeps records.

When the time is right, He will wake up the right person and make sure your name is remembered. Divine reversals happen in the midnight hour.

When you’ve done right and received nothing in return, remember this: Heaven never forgets.
