THE GREAT REVERSAL: WHEN GOD EXPOSES THE ENEMY
Scripture Focus
Esther 7:10 (CSB) –
“They hanged Haman on the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s anger subsided.”
Study Summary
The day of destiny has arrived.
After fasting, praying, and moving in strategic obedience, Esther hosts her second banquet for the king and Haman. With grace and timing guided by the Holy Spirit, she finally reveals her true identity as a Jew — and exposes Haman’s plot to destroy her people.
The room shifts. The king, enraged, steps away to process the shock. Haman panics, realizing his scheme has been exposed, and in desperation, he falls onto the couch where Esther is reclining — just as the king reenters the room.
What Haman meant for evil is instantly reversed. The king orders Haman to be hanged on the very gallows he built for Mordecai.
This chapter shows us that God’s justice may take time, but it’s always precise. When the enemy builds a trap, Heaven is already writing the reversal.
Study Reflection: When Justice Finds You
Haman’s story teaches us that pride, manipulation, and deceit always meet their end. But Esther’s story teaches us that humility, wisdom, and courage invite divine protection.
The same gallows that symbolized death became the site of deliverance. That’s what happens when God steps in — He makes the weapon the witness.
When you walk in obedience, you don’t have to fight for your name — God will expose and overturn every scheme formed against you.
Lessons from Esther Chapter 7
Exposure Comes in God’s Time.
Esther waited until the second banquet to speak. Some battles require patience until the Lord says, “Now.”
The Plot Reverses When Purpose is Revealed.
Once Esther revealed who she truly was, the enemy lost power. Your true identity in God is your greatest weapon.
Pride Always Prepares Its Own Fall.
Haman’s arrogance became his undoing. The higher pride climbs, the harder it falls.
God’s Justice Is Exact.
The gallows Haman built for Mordecai became the instrument of his own judgment. God never misses a detail.
