Possessing Your Promise

Overview:

In these chapters, we see the tribes of Israel being urged to go out and claim the land that God has already given them. The message is clear: don’t delay in stepping into what God has promised you.

Joshua 18:1-3: The call to not delay in possessing the land.

Joshua 18:8-10: The instruction to survey the land and write a description of it.

Joshua 19: The distribution of the land to each tribe, concluding with Joshua’s own inheritance.

What promises or dreams has God placed in your heart that you may have been hesitant to step into? What might be causing that delay, and how can you take a step of faith today?

Surveying the Land:

Take some time to "survey" the promises of God in your life. Write down what you see, what you hope for, and what you feel God is leading you toward. How does writing it down help clarify your vision?

Claiming Your Inheritance:

Reflect on the idea of "casting lots" and how each tribe received their portion. What does it mean for you to confidently claim what God has for you without comparison or hesitation?
