Day 1 – CALL Focus Fast: PREPARE

Day 1 – CALL Focus Fast: PREPARE

Build Before It Rains

Family, this fast is different.

The last fast was about heart renovation.
This fast is about kingdom preparation.

We are not reacting. We are preparing.

Jeremiah 33:3 (CSB) says,

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things you do not know.”

Day 1 is about calling.

Not panicking.
Not assuming.
Calling.

There are shifts happening in the world. You can see it. Systems are moving. Economies are shifting. Governments are unstable. But this is not a time for fear. It is a time for revelation.

And when God prepares His people, He speaks first.

Today we look at Noah.

Genesis 6:13–14 (CSB) says,

“Then God said to Noah, ‘I have decided to put an end to every creature, for the earth is filled with wickedness because of them; therefore I am going to destroy them along with the earth. Make yourself an ark of gopher wood…’”

God warned before the rain.

He gave strategy before the storm.

He gave blueprints before the breakdown.

And Genesis 6:22 (CSB) says,

“And Noah did this. He did everything that God had commanded him.”

Noah did not debate.
Noah did not delay.
Noah did not wait for visible evidence.

He moved.

Preparation is obedience before confirmation.

The flood did not start the day God spoke. There was time between revelation and rain. That space is where faith lives. That space is where preparation happens.

Some of you are in that space right now.

You sense something shifting.
You feel God stirring you.
But the rain has not started.

This is not the time to ignore instruction.

This is the time to call.

Today you must ask God specifically:

Lord, how do I prepare for my family?
Lord, how do I prepare financially?
Lord, how do I prepare spiritually?
Lord, what systems do I need to strengthen?
Lord, what habits need to change?
Lord, what structure needs to be built?

This is not vague prayer. This is strategic prayer.

Noah built for his household.

Genesis 7 makes it clear that when the flood came, those inside the ark were preserved. The preparation of one man protected his family.

Your obedience does not just affect you. It affects your household.

Faith is not just belief. Faith is movement.

Hebrews 11:7 (CSB) says,

“By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family.”

He built something for what was not yet seen.

That is preparation.

But let’s be honest — when God begins to reveal things, fear tries to attach itself to the assignment.

Fear whispers:
What if you look foolish?
What if nothing happens?
What if you fail?

But 2 Timothy 1:7 (CSB) says,

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.”

Preparation requires courage.

Not reckless movement.
Not emotional movement.
Strategic, obedient movement.

Today, ask God for actionable steps.

Not just ideas.
Not just inspiration.
Steps.

What do I need to start?
What do I need to stop?
What do I need to build?
What do I need to learn?
What do I need to store?
What do I need to strengthen?

And beyond strategy, ask for revelation.

Acts 2:17 (CSB) says,

“I will pour out my Spirit on all people… your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.”

Ask for dreams.
Ask for divine downloads.
Ask for spiritual intelligence.
Ask for clarity in the night hours.
Ask for insight that positions you ahead of disruption.

We are not preparing out of fear of the world.

We are preparing out of obedience to God.

Today’s worship should be intentional. As you listen to the song chosen for this fast, let it become prayer. Ask God to sharpen your hearing. Ask Him to remove noise from your mind. Ask Him to speak clearly.

Do not rush this.

Journal honestly today:

• What area of my life needs preparation right now?
• What has God already shown me that I have delayed?
• What fear has kept me from moving?
• What would obedience look like this week?
• What does preparation for my family specifically look like?

Pray the Word personally today:

Jeremiah 33:3 — Lord, I am calling. Speak clearly.
Genesis 6:22 — Give me obedience without hesitation.
Hebrews 11:7 — Help me build for what is not yet seen.
2 Timothy 1:7 — Remove fear and give me sound judgment.
Acts 2:17 — Pour out Your Spirit. Speak through dreams and revelation.

Declare this aloud:

I will build before it rains.
I will prepare before the shift.
I will move when God speaks.
Fear will not silence my obedience.
My household will be covered because I listened.
Lord, reveal strategy.

Family, this fast is not about survival. It is about positioning.

Day 1 — Call.
Day 2 — Consecrate.
Day 3 — Commission.

Today, we call.

And we listen.
