Day 2 – Expose
Focus Fast: Heart Renovation Before Elevation
Theme: Blinded So You Can See

Family, yesterday we uprooted what we knew was there. Today we are asking God to expose what we did not know was there. Sometimes the most dangerous thing in your life is not what you clearly see; it is what you are convinced you see correctly. Exposure is not condemnation. Exposure is mercy. And today, we look at Saul.

Saul was not lazy. He was not rebellious. He was not careless. He was passionate. He believed he was protecting truth. But sincerity does not always equal alignment. Acts 9:3–5 (CSB) says, “As he traveled and was nearing Damascus, a light from heaven suddenly flashed around him. Falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’ ‘Who are you, Lord?’ Saul said. ‘I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting,’ he replied.” Saul thought he was serving God, but he was opposing Him. He was sincere, but he was misaligned. You can be sincere and still be misaligned.

Acts 9:8–9 (CSB) continues, “Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see nothing. So they took him by the hand and led him into Damascus. He was unable to see for three days and did not eat or drink.” Though his eyes were open, he could see nothing. Sometimes your eyes are open, but your perception is wounded. Sometimes what you call wisdom is actually self-protection. Sometimes what you call boundaries is bitterness that never healed. Sometimes what you call discernment is offense that grew roots. Saul had to sit in darkness. Exposure will humble you, but it will also heal you.

Day 1 dealt with obvious roots. Day 2 deals with hidden perception. Today we pray, “Lord, if I am seeing through wounds, heal my vision.” You cannot replace what you refuse to see, and you cannot heal what you refuse to acknowledge.

Today’s worship is intentional. It is not background music; it is prayer. As you listen to “Open the Eyes of My Heart,” sit still and let it become your prayer. Ask the Lord to silence the noise in your mind. Ask Him to quiet defensive thoughts, rehearsed conversations, internal arguments, and assumptions you have been carrying. Do not rush this moment. As you reflect on “Open Your Eyes” SunRay , pray, “Lord, if I have been blinded by hurt, wake me up.” Ask Him to show you where you misinterpreted, where you assumed, where pain shaped your perception, and where pride hid behind protection. Let Him correct your vision gently. This is not about shame. This is about clarity.

Take time to journal honestly. Have I built walls and called them wisdom? Where have I labeled self-protection as discernment? Did I assume motives without asking questions? What story have I repeated in my mind about what happened? Has hurt shaped how I see people now? If I was misaligned in any area, would I want to know? What would change if my perception healed? Be gentle with yourself, but be truthful.

Pray the Word personally today. Psalm 139:23–24 (CSB) says, “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the everlasting way.” Pray, Lord, if there is anything offensive in my perception, show me. Ephesians 5:13 (CSB) says, “Everything exposed by the light is made visible, for what makes everything visible is light.” Pray, Shine light on what I could not see. Luke 11:34 (CSB) says, “Your eye is the lamp of the body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is also full of light, but when it is bad, your body is also full of darkness.” Pray, Heal my perception so my whole life is filled with light. Proverbs 4:23 (CSB) says, “Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.” Pray, Teach me how to guard my heart without growing cold. Acts 9:17–18 (CSB) says, “Ananias went and entered the house. He placed his hands on him and said, ‘Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus… has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.’ At once something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight.” Pray, Let scales fall from my eyes.

Declare this aloud: Lord, if I am blinded in any area, interrupt me. If I am misaligned, realign me. If I am seeing through wounds, heal my perception. I choose truth over being right. Open the eyes of my heart.

Exposure is not rejection; exposure is redirection. Saul did not stay blind. He became Paul. The very area that was exposed became the area of transformation. Today we expose. Tomorrow we replace. And what God plants next will not grow from wounded perception, but from healed vision.
