God Reveals Mysteries Through Prayer
Daniel 2 Study Guide:
Key Bible Passage: Daniel 2:1-28
Summary of the Story
In this story, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon has a troubling dream he doesn’t understand. He asks his wise men—magicians, enchanters, and astrologers—to tell him the dream and what it means. But they can’t, and this makes the king so angry that he orders their execution, which includes Daniel and his friends.
Daniel prays to God, asking for mercy and wisdom to understand the dream. God answers by revealing the mystery to Daniel in a vision. When Daniel explains the dream to the king, he tells him that only God has the power to reveal such mysteries, and that Daniel’s understanding of the dream came from God alone. This story shows that God can reveal things to us when we seek Him in prayer.
