Deepening Your Understanding of Elijah’s Journey

Part 1: Reflecting on Elijah’s Emotional State
Read: 1 Kings 19:1-4
Reflection Question: What emotions do you notice in Elijah’s prayer under the broom bush? Write down what he says and consider: have you ever felt this way in your own life?

Reflection Question: How did God care for Elijah’s physical needs? Think about why this step was essential before Elijah continued his journey.

Reflection Question: God renewed Elijah’s mission by directing him to anoint new leaders. How does God’s reminder of the “7,000 in Israel” encourage Elijah’s faith? What purpose does this reveal in your own times of renewal?
