The Focus Fast Purpose And Instructions

About the Focus Fast: Rediscovering the Foundation of Our Homes

As we move into the final months of 2024, ARISE Ministry is embracing a time of focus and preparation. God has given us a powerful word for these next three months: "Focus on Home." This focus is all about looking closely at our lives, aligning ourselves with God's purpose, and strengthening the foundations that will carry us through the future.

This all started with the Hebrew New Year we celebrated on October 4th, 2024 we stepped into God's timing. This is more than just the start of a new season; it's a fresh beginning to build stronger homes—our spiritual, physical, and stewardship homes—according to God's plan.

Even though the world follows the regular calendar, as believers, we have a head start by following God’s prophetic calendar. The Hebrew New Year marks a time of new beginnings and preparation, giving us a special chance to align more closely with God’s plans and start strong in our relationship with Him.

This time of focusing on building strong, God-centered homes is a call for us to step into the fullness of what God has planned for us. By starting now, we are positioning ourselves and our families for success, peace, and strength—all grounded in God's will. When we live in God's timing, we're aligned with His bigger plan, giving us an advantage as we grow closer to Him.

The Focus Fast is designed to help us focus on the three homes God wants us to build:

Our Inner Home — This is all about us: our soul, mind, body, and spirit. Just like we’re told to put on our oxygen mask first in an airplane, we need to take care of ourselves—spiritually and physically. During this fast, we focus on strengthening our relationship with God, praying, studying the Bible, and reflecting on how we can grow closer to Him.

Our Physical Home — This is where we live, the space we share with our family and loved ones. God is calling us to prepare our homes, asking for His guidance on how to make our homes peaceful and secure. Just like a weather forecast warns of a storm, God is urging us to get ready and listen for His direction about what we should do in our physical spaces.

Our Stewardship Home — This is everything we are responsible for, including our relationships, resources, and influence. Like Joshua said, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15), we are called to lead our families in worship, prayer, and devotion. We are tasked with building a spiritual legacy that honors God and prepares us for the challenges ahead.

For the next 12 days (from November 8th to November 19th), we will fast from 5 AM to 5 PM, eating only fruits, vegetables, and meat if desired. We’re setting aside bread, pasta, rice, and soda to help us focus more on God. Each day, we will spend 30 minutes to an hour seeking God in our “secret place,” letting His presence and Word guide us. This fast is a personal journey, so take time to ask God for specific guidance during this season.

Each day, we encourage you to visit www.kandinicolearise.com for your daily instructions and lessons. You can also find your reflection video on the Kandi Nicole ARISE YouTube channel. These resources will help you as you go through this fast and deepen your focus on God’s purpose for your life.

Scriptures to Reflect On:

  • Jeremiah 33:3: "Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come."
  • Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
  • Joshua 24:15: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

As we focus on these three homes, we allow God to build us up in strength, wisdom, and faith. This fast is a time to let God reveal areas in our lives that need His help, to become better stewards of all He’s given us, and to grow closer to Him. By the end of this preparation time, may we emerge with renewed focus, ready to build strong, God-centered foundations for our homes and lives.
